This is my 3 rd kitchen aid my first one I got as a wedding present from my husband. With kids and all the baking I did well it lasted over 30 years and my husband though I needed a new one so bout the 6 qt after 10 with that one I could move it any longer so gave to daughter and bought a flip top thank you Kitchen aid .

I have wanted a mixer for awhile and I recently bought this one. I absolutely LOVE it! Used it multiple times already. Easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. I saw the lavender cream color and had to get it. It looks so pretty in my kitchen! Highly recommend!

I love my new kitchen aid mixer! It's the perfect size for everyday baking. I do wish that the mixer itself wasn't so heavy that way I can transfer it to wherever I need it, but other than that it's perfect.

I have been dreaming of owning my own kitchenaid stand mixer since I was a little girl helping her mom bake, and make ravioli. As of a month ago I am officially the owner of the Artisan Series 5 Quart Stand Mixer in Lavender and I'm absolutely in love! The color is fantastic and it shipped in sturdy packaging so there wasn't a scratch on the kitchenaid (Which was a concern of mine) I've mostly used it for simple baking items but I'm looking forward to getting some pasta attachments to explore it more. I would highly recommend!

I had been waiting about 15 years to be able to get a stand mixer. I finally got one and let me tell you, all of my expectations have been met plus some! This thing is AMAZING! I got this for my birthday and I specifically got in a color my daughter loves, Bc I intend to pass it down to her one day.
The first day I tried to make a bread dough however, the head was bouncing like crazy. My husband adjusted the hinge pin and it was still all over the place, so I decided to contact customer service. Within less than 5 minutes they had a replacement unit on the way. It arrived in about 5 days and while I haven't had a chance to use the new unit, I am beyond happy with the service. I've got a combo microwave/convection oven wall unit that is KitchenAid as well, and LOVE it. KA is pretty much the gold standard of kitchen appliances!

I was used to using my mom's KitchenAid mixer. She has a 6 quart. The size difference actually worked to the 5 quart's advantage. Often when I use the larger one product would remain in the bottom of the mixer without being touched. In this mixer, everything was fully incorporated quickly even with little volume being added. My one downside would be the speed options. The switch action to change speeds is difficult to control and seems to only have three noticeably different speeds.

Really mixes well with the blade that has the scraper attached. Doesn't overheat with long run time. Large bowl handles a big batch. I would like to see a larger spout on the top guard attachment, adding flour is not easy.

I've wanted a KitchenAid standing mixer for...centuries, it feels like. So when I finally got it, I teared up, which is just silly, I know. Anyway, the point is, I had very high expectations. And this mixer met those expectations and beat them! I've mainly used it for breads, which it makes like a dream. No more kneading! Can you believe that? But it's true. No more kneading and I've made a souffle now that didn't fall at all! I haven't had this much fun in the kitchen in...yes, centuries! Ha!

So my incredible husband bought this Lavender Kitchenaid mixer as a Christmas present for me (got a bit early because he wanted cookies and now, not after Christmas) and this mixer is everything his mom's was and more (her's is at least 30 years old and still going strong)...except for the pouring shield. This is the only downfall of my new mixer. The reason is the pouring shield does not fit tight along the metal bowl. The shied is very wobbly and is easily dislodged. His mom's is two pieces that have to be put together but they fit tightly around the bowl. Love the concept of a single piece pouring shield - very convenient, but the shield needs to fit snugly to the bowl. Had to hold the shield down with one hand and add the flour with a measuring scoop with the other to keep the flour from escaping the sides. Do I recommend this mixer? ABSOLUTELY. But for the money, would defiantly prefer the plastic pour shield fit snugly around the metal bowl. This is the reason my husband paid the additional money for the artisan model - the pour shield. Actually placed on our granite counter top and the shield had gaps along it's edges - not straight at all aside from not fitting the metal bowl :(
